My children have a one mile commute. A 1/2 mile from our driveway to the subdivision entrance, and a 1/2 mile down the road to school. The following is a transcript of what was discussed on our one mile journey home yesterday...
As I put the minivan in to DRIVE and begin rolling foward, this is what I hear:
E: Mommy, God made me.
Me: Yes, He did.
E: God made Mommy, Daddy, and Caroline too!
Me: Yep! He sure did.
E: God made the trees, and the leaves, and the school bus, and the school too!
Me: (giggle) Sure He did.
E: Mommy, God put us together. (pause for deep thought)....
E: Before we were born, we were flat, right mommy?
Me: Umm... Sure.
E: But when we were born we weren't flat anymore. Right?
Me: Right.
E: Mommy, God has a big tummmy.
Me: (giggle) He does?
E: Yep.
(pause for additional deep thought and clearly a subject change...)
E: Mommy, big boobs jiggle. Little boobs don't jiggle, right Mommy?
Me: (laughing so hard) I guess that's right honey. I never really thought about it.
At this point I was only just reaching the entrance to our subdivision. I still had a half mile to go! LOL!

Aren't those conversations the best?
Bob and Trey's conversation this morning...Trey is 26 months:
Bob: You the man
Trey: no You the man
Bob: No you the man
Trey: (giggle) You the man
and so on and so on. Went on for 5 minutes.
Renee, I can just see the two of them going back and forth like that. Too cute!
