Independence Day!

Our 4th of July holiday was so much fun. We started our day by going through the drive thru at Dunkin Donuts to pick up some breakfast. Then it was off to our town square for the annual 4th of July parade. This was our first time going and it was so much fun! We got there early as the vendors were setting up. They had picnic tables set up under a tent (in the shade!). We sat there and ate breakfast and played with our new digital camera.

The parade was great. The kids loved it. It was very patriotic. A nice taste of Americana. :) After about 45 minutes we decided to break away and go walk around and look at the vendors in the park (before the crowds hit). Charles got a free massage while I took Elizabth to get her face painted. We were first in line! Elizabeth was shy and said "No, you go first mommy." I figured "what the heck" so I did. Besides, Charles said he was going to get his face painted too. Elizabeth picked out the design.

Then, it was Elizabeth's turn.
Me: "Ok it's your turn, Elizabeth!"
E: "No, I don't want my face painted."
Me: "Uh.... what?"

My little negotiator said "I'll just get my arm painted."
Me: "Great!" (grrrr!)

Then Charles shows up and he says "No, I'm not getting my face painted." And with that he was off to visit Abe.

SO I walked around all day with MY face painted, and no one else! LOL! Thanks guys!
