Caroline and her allergies.

Here's what we're dealing with...

We don't know what's causing it. When it first happened it began with one single spot, on her inner thigh. And then it just began to spread.
To make a long story short, we don't know what's causing it. Her pediatrician is unimpressed, tells us it's hives, and recommends benedryl. The school has been great. They have been racking their brains trying to help us figure out the cause. They have been absolutely wonderful. They've kept her inside when we thought it was pollen. They eliminated dairy from her diet when we thought it was that. They've plastered the walls with signs telling EVERYONE to stop feeding her dairy. They've given her baths after they've seen a flare-up. They've called a bunch of times over the last few weeks to discuss possible theories. The bottom line is we can't figure it out. We've since let her back outside. We've re-introduced dairy to her diet... and we haven't been able to re-create it.
Today I took Caroline for her 15 month appointment. We've decided to delay all vaccines until we can get her tested by the allergist. I got the referral today. I think I'll schedule the appointment for the beginning of June. (too much going on between now and then).
In other news, I totally spaced on what they said she weighed and her height. I do remember them saying she's 50th% for weight, and 90th% for height. Her hair is really starting to grow fast. Her little red curls are slowly turning blond. She has the cutest little pig tail sprouts on her head. Her eyes are a beautiful brown. Her skin as soft as silk. She's a funny little girl who loves to make others laugh.

Her language is beginning to explode. Spoken words consist of mama, dada, gicky (Minky), dog, cat, night night, bye bye. ASL words consist of thank you, bye bye, more, please, milk, apple
Today she barked like a dog, and meowed like a cat. She climbs up on chairs, she runs, and she sings. Her favorite foods are avocado and the boob. She's wearing 18 month clothing, and a size 4 diaper. She's a sweet sweet little girl. I love her so much.

Weird about the allergic reaction. A fish to your pediatrician - well, yeah, it's hives, but why? I hope y'all can figure out the cause.
